Evolution has reared its head again as people with incredible talents struggle to keep their abilities secret. Some decide to hide them, forget these things that make them different and pretend to be like everyone else. Others want to help the world and consider their abilities gifts. There is also a small group of individuals, called The Alliance, who use their abilities for personal gain and power. Congressman Nathan Petrelli narrowly survived an assassination attempt when he tried to public announce his abilities. He is now leader of the Department of Evolved Human Affairs and urges people to come foreword. The Company is still trying to document and research Evolved Humans in secrecy. The Alliance is constantly in the news for robbery, murder and kidnapping, and are used as a prime example by anti-evolution groups. One such anti-evolution group is the terroristic Archetypes who openly believe that Evolved Humans should be extricated for the safety of man kind.
